Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of experience and call coverage including weekends and holidays.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Perform a broad range of surgical procedures including gynecology, neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and robotic-assisted cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 4x10 Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required, 3-4 shifts per month including weekends and holidays
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (State or Compact, Indiana accepted) required in-hand prior to start
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Pending state license not accepted

Additional Information

• Assist with a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, bariatrics, and robotic surgery
• Support surgical teams using equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and the Hana Table
• Perform Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures, specimen handling, and wound management
• Facility utilizes robotic surgical systems including Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System
• RTO must be submitted with candidate profile, and no call-outs allowed for absences longer than one week
• Availability for holiday coverage must be indicated at time of consideration
• Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius at a reduced local rate
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
• Completion of facility training modules required prior to start and annually for clearance
