Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night-shift admission unit at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-volume trauma experience.

Details

• Admission unit caring for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid turnover unit with faster patient throughput than a typical Med/Surg unit
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1 for Med/Surg RNs
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently required
