Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active NH or compact RN license and ACLS certification.
Details
- Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
- 13-week assignment
- Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through the following Saturday 11:59pm
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced local rate
Requirements
- Active NH RN license (or compact) required, or must be eligible to obtain one
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- CPI certification required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Clinical experience preferred
- Specialty certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required
Additional Information
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all assigned ED areas
- Assess patients on admission including medical history, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests
- Participate in planning and implementing written care plans under physician direction
- Perform standard patient assessments using basic equipment
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Interact positively with team members and patients while respecting cultural, lifestyle, religious, and age-related differences
- Accept constructive criticism and manage emotional responses professionally
- Membership in a professional nursing organization is valued
