Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for a role spanning invasive cardiology and interventional radiology procedures.

Details

• Work in a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On call required 1 day per week and every 3rd weekend in rotation
• Candidates will float within the hospital based on census
• Community hospital setting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab environment required
• Current ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R), and Fluoro Permit certifications required (license required if applicable)
• RCIS certification preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and IVC filter placement/removal
• Experience with vascular studies such as dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and carotid angiography
• Skilled in genitourinary and neurological interventional procedures including nephrostomy, biliary drainage, and vertebroplasty
• Experience maintaining sterile fields, scrubbing for procedures, and performing equipment set up
• Familiarity with PACS and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
• Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• One professional reference required within the past 2 years

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include prepping access sites, monitoring patients during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and stocking/maintaining equipment
• Perform a broad range of cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures including EP studies, cardiac ablation, and cardiac mapping
• Adheres to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Previous staff members employed permanently at this facility are not eligible for this assignment
• Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
