Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Pediatric PACU position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least 1 year of PACU experience
Details
- Work in the Pediatric PACU department of a hospital setting
- Care for pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient status, and intervene as necessary
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products as prescribed
- Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to allow for compliance clearance
- Returning travelers may extend a contract only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
