Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit on night shift, requiring an active MI RN license and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- specialty setting within a 225-bed hospital's Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics floor (24 beds)
- Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with a mix of adult ortho/neuro trauma and post-op cases and a general pediatric unit
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift (NOC) 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to other inpatient units as needed
- Currently uses Paragon EHR, transitioning to Cerner
- Level 2 Trauma Center
Requirements
- . PALS certification preferred
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, including adult med/surg experience
- Pediatric experience preferred
- ADN required
- Prior adult and pediatric ortho/neuro trauma and post-op experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Additional Information
- Care for patients recovering from orthopedic and neurological trauma and surgery, as well as general pediatric patients
- Work under the supervision of 1-2 unit supervisors
- Galaxy Blue scrub color required
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
