Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 5+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a 13-week NOC shift assignment in Dallas, TX.
Details
- Hospital-based Imaging/MRI department serving ambulatory and hospital patients
- 13-week travel assignment
- 3x12-hour NOC shifts, Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- May be required to take call
- Dark grey scrub color required
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Active TX license required if applicable
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions granted
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to established exam protocols under general supervision of a Radiologist
- Communicates with patients and families to explain procedures and assess ability to tolerate exam
- Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and adjusting immobilization devices
- Adheres to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies while using proper sterile techniques
- Maintains equipment and work area to quality and cleanliness standards
- Screens individuals for safety prior to entering the department
- Obtains and maintains required documentation including patient history, consent forms, and pregnancy status
- Maintains medical imaging records according to department policies
- Able to serve as preceptor for new team members when needed
- Care provided across newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric populations
- Local candidates are not accepted due to the 50-mile radius rule
