Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of inpatient OR experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a high-volume Operating Room within a hospital surgical services department
• Department covers general, GYN, GU, oral, ORL, bariatric, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine surgeries
• Unit includes 17 operating rooms staffed 24/7
• 12-hour shifts on a day/evening rotation, with day shift starting at 7am and evening shifts starting at 9am or 11am
• Every 3rd weekend required as needed
• Every other holiday coverage required
• On-call required once per schedule
• May float to Moakley OR if needed

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient Operating Room experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Scrub experience required
• Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties
• Neuro and vascular experience preferred, in addition to general scrub experience beyond GYN and GU
• Strong communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible for this travel position
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
