Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of OR experience.

Details

Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, neurology, general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, urology, bariatric, ENT, and thoracic procedures
Trauma setting experience preferred
Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with a rotating day off
Call responsibilities required
Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
Epic charting experience required
Skills in various surgical procedures preferred, including vascular, gynecological, neurological, general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, urology, bariatric, ENT, and thoracic cases

Additional Information

Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
