Description
American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.
Details
- >Emergency Department in a hospital setting handling a combined adult/pediatric patient population
- 20 rooms/beds with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
- STEMI and Stroke Certified facility with Shock/Trauma capabilities
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Weekend requirement of 3 out of every 6 weekends
- Floating required to cover the Observation Unit (ER Hold patients) as well as sister/affiliate facilities nearby
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission (pending license not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred certification: ENPC
- Epic charting system experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable ER setting
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric emergencies
- Perform triage and manage patients under isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and care of critically ill or multisystem organ dysfunction patients
- May wear own scrubs as long as they are solid color with no prints
- RTO restrictions limited to no more than 7 days
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate; a 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
