Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2 years of ER experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- 14-week assignment length
- Level I Trauma Center environment
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Active KY State or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
- Preferred skills: care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation
- Required skills: cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Triage skills preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center ER
- Responsibilities include triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response to dysrhythmias
- First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I ER experience
- RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed prior to offer
- Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Returning staff must be gone from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
