Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring active MA RN licensure and telemetry proficiency across multiple units.
Details
- Float pool position covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units within a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Float required across 5 different Med/Surg/Tele units
- Uses Meditech for IV management and EPIC EMR for charting
- No extended RTO permitted and most Fridays are required with no specific schedule requests accommodated
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
- 3-5 years of previous float experience preferred
- Experience with Meditech IVs and telemetry required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or higher (2 attempts allowed)
- Ability to adapt quickly to different units required
Additional Information
- Deliver Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing care while floating across multiple units as needed
- Must be flexible and comfortable adapting to changing unit assignments
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
