Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MA RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Responsible for triage and care of acute patients across various age groups
  • Utilizes Epic for charting
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
  • Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start date via NURSYS and BON
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and age-specific care principles
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift frequently, including lifting 35+ lbs with assisted device

Additional Information

  • Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document vital signs and condition changes
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members on patient care planning
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be considered for the local rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
