Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a tertiary hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of general IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary hospital
- Daily caseload of 4 cases per technologist
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call required on a rotation with two other techs
- Weekend coverage required every third weekend
- No floating required to other units or sister facilities
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general Interventional Radiology required
- Neuro IR experience preferred
- BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
- SCQRSA certification required
- License required if applicable
- Radiation badge required, to be provided by the traveler's agency
- Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
- Lead tech experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- OR scrubs provided by the facility
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs, though not guaranteed
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as approval is based on facility needs
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Located in a hurricane-prone region; all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)
