Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and SD licensure.
Details
- Home health setting covering the Southern Black Hills area including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa and surrounding areas
- Patient population includes medically compromised patients with CHF, COPD, DM, and cardiac conditions, as well as ortho, neuro, dementia, and general weakness diagnoses
- Patients range in age from early adulthood to geriatrics
- Uses EPIC for charting
- Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts
- No weekend rotation and no call requirements
- Mileage reimbursed at current IRS standard rates for travel between patient visits
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- SD PT licensure required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- General physical therapy skills including evaluation, intervention planning, medical assessment, and care plan development
Additional Information
- Home Health Department team includes RN, LPN, OT, PTA, SLP, Aides, MSW, and case managers
- Orientation takes approximately 1 week and includes EPIC training, shadowing, and documentation process review
- Office closed on 6 major holidays
- Time off requests require manager approval
- Scrubs of any color or business casual attire accepted; no denim or sweats
- Free parking available
- Open to first-time travelers
- Facility is known for being traveler-friendly and frequently renews travel contracts
- 100-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
