Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years' experience for a night shift position caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients at a Hawaii medical center.
Details
- Cardiopulmonary/Respiratory Therapy modality within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Night shift hours from 1830 to 0700
- Three 12-hour shifts weekly totaling 36 hours per week
- No guarantee of hours
- 15-week contract length
- Utilizes computerized charting and Pyxis medication management systems
- Equipment includes PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
- Active state license required
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- RRT certification preferred
- NRP certification preferred
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start
Additional Information
- Provide continuous airway management for patients
- Perform ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support
- Consult with physicians and participate in CPR and all aspects of respiratory care
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for a scheduled appointment
- Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start date to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
- Flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
