Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a freestanding Emergency Room setting, requiring ARRT CT certification and a valid Washington state license.
Details
- Work in a freestanding Emergency Department setting
- Adult acute care and outpatient CT patient population
- Staffing ratio of 1 CT tech per 16 beds
- Procedures include abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast, chest with and without contrast, head and neck imaging, cervical/lumbar/thoracic spine, musculoskeletal trauma, brain perfusion, and vascular CTA
- Uses PACS and Siemens CT equipment
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units required
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- Current ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid Washington state license required (license required if applicable)
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
- Peripheral IV insertion skills preferred
- Emergency Department experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and spine studies with and without contrast
- Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed
- Travelers should be prepared to float within the facility as needed
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
- Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as post-submission requests may not be accommodated
