Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 position requiring 1-2 years of specialty experience and travel RN experience, with prior travelers not accepted.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
• Work in the PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery areas across two locations within the same hospital system (main hospital and Day Surgery Center)
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 3x12-hour day shifts with various start times ranging from 0530 to 2330
• Weekend shifts required as needed per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between the main hospital and Day Surgery Center, and potentially to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR system

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (PALS preferred)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in PACU/specialty required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery settings
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered, with no local candidates accepted for this specialty
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting a travel assignment
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
