Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact license, 2+ years of L&D experience, and the ability to scrub C-sections.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, providing labor, delivery, recovery, and mother-baby (LDRP) care
- Facility averages 100-200 births per month
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 19:00-7:30
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Floating required to other units and facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Ability to scrub for C-sections required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- AWHONN Advanced and NRP preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia competency required during compliance period
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Current driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration
- Utility bill with matching address required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn stages
- Manage high-risk obstetric conditions including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor
- Perform fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Administer medications including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Support newborn care including assessments, phototherapy, and discharge teaching
- Assist with surgical procedures such as cervical cerclage, D&C, and tubal ligation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
- Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
- Former INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum 1-year separation to be eligible for this assignment
- Two supervisory references required for consideration
