Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to scrub for C-sections.

Details

• Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Mother Baby unit
• LDRP and Mother/Baby work settings with 100-200 facility births per month
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 3x12 Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Charting via Epic (preferred)
• Floating required to other units and Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Basic Dysrhythmia competency required during compliance

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required (no pending state licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Ability to scrub for C-sections required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP/NALS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced and NRP preferred
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, including amnioinfusion, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation/recovery, and hemorrhage/shock management
• Experience with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and VBAC management
• Experience with postpartum and newborn care, including couplet care, lactation support, and newborn assessment
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including EFM use and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Current driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill with matching address (within last 3 months) required for consideration
• 2 supervisory references required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages
• Support high-risk obstetric cases including malpresentations, multiple gestation, and substance abuse care
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Terbutaline
• Educate patients and families on newborn care, car seat safety, and discharge planning
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holidays or blackout dates permitted
• Former Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation to be eligible
• Only one submission allowed per traveler across all Integris campuses
• Any employment gaps of 3 months or more must be explained in work history
