Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to scrub C-sections.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, including recovery and mother/baby care
- Facility averages 100-200 births per month
- LDRP and Mother/Baby care settings
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Epic charting system
- Float required within scope to other units or Integris facilities up to 75 miles as needed
- No block scheduling accommodations available
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required, no pending state licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Ability to scrub for C-sections required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
- Will complete Basic Dysrhythmia competency during compliance onboarding
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration
- Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address dated within 3 months of start date required for consideration
- Two supervisory references required for consideration
- Skilled in labor and delivery management including vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery, and management of high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and postpartum hemorrhage
- Experience with fetal monitoring, NST, and interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum/mother-baby stages
- Manage high-risk obstetric conditions including HELLP syndrome, multiple gestation, and VBAC/trial of labor patients
- Administer medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Support newborn care including assessments, phototherapy, and discharge/car seat education
- Provide breastfeeding and lactation support to postpartum patients
- Maximum RTO is 5 days per 13-week assignment with no holiday or blackout date requests permitted
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
- Former Integris employees must have a minimum of 1 year separation from employment to be eligible
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must include an explanation
