Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Level I Trauma Center environment
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY State or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and NIH
• CPI and ENPC certifications preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with care of ventilated patients preferred
• Experience with continuous IV sedation preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Triage experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
• First-time travelers will be considered only if they have Level I trauma ER experience
• RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances
• All RTO must be disclosed prior to receiving an offer, as requests made afterward will not be approved
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning staff must have been away from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
