Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTAC unit position requiring 2+ years of current LTACH experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the LTAC unit of a long-term acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes MS/Tele, ICU, and PCU level care with 1:4 patient ratios
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:30)
- Rotating 36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
- Required to work every other weekend
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY State or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of current LTACH experience required
- MS/Tele or ICU experience required
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line care, and complex wound care
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Driver's license required with address matching permanent residence
- Two professional references required (one Charge or higher, one supervisor), completed within the last year
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a long-term acute care setting including ventilator weaning, wound care, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted afterward
- Must work either a major or minor holiday for every holiday period
- Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
- Returning travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after completing one year with the system before becoming eligible to return
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
