Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active Iowa or compact RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting at a Level 3 trauma center
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend work required
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Familiarity with drips such as heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amiodarone

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license required
• Active Illinois RN license also required for this position
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• New grads accepted
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last 2 years required
• Driver's license or proof of permanent residency required for consideration
• Not eligible if employed by the health system within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Only Illinois RN license holders will be considered for float assignments to Illinois facilities
