Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a CT Scan unit requiring current MA licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist and BLS certification.
Details
- Work in the CT Scan unit of a hospital setting
- Uses Canon CT system
- 4x9-hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Backup call required every 9th weekend, with possible holiday call when needed on the unit
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Current advanced ARRT CT registration strongly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine, or diploma required
- Two or more years of experience as a CT Technologist preferred
Additional Information
- Produces diagnostic images using computed tomography to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury
- Provides comprehensive imaging care appropriate to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric
- Complies with all Federal, State, and Joint Commission regulatory standards for radiation control and imaging protocols
- Participates in annual education on dose optimization concepts including Image Wisely and Image Gently
- Accurately documents patient medical information and follows patient identification protocols
- May act as a preceptor for new employees and assist in training students, interns, and externs
- Reports to the Section Leader of CT
- Accepts local candidates at a discounted rate
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local traveler
