Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening shift assignment requiring ARRT registration in Radiography and CT along with 1+ year of hospital CT experience.
Details
- Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center hospital setting within the Interventional Radiology/CT department
- 500-bed facility serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations
- Evening shift, 5x8, from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Weekend hours as required by facility
- Float requirements as required by facility
- No call requirements
- Uses GE CT equipment
- EMR systems include Epic, Visage, Vitrea, and Medicalis
- Evening shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week
Requirements
- ARRT registration in Radiography and CT required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech in a hospital setting
- Experience with stroke and trauma patient populations required
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved program
- Proficiency with CT scanners, power injectors, workstations, and PACS/HIS/RIS systems
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and 3-D imaging concepts
- Must be able to lift, move, and transport patients and tolerate continual standing and walking
- Must be able to adapt to stressful and emergent situations
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level
- Transport patients as needed and follow universal precautions and PPE protocols
- Perform post-processing procedures on Vitrea workstations and QC workstation functions
- Follow established downtime processes when needed
- Black scrubs required per facility dress code
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility, though bill rate is reduced accordingly
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
- Positive, friendly, confident, and compassionate demeanor preferred
