Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT) with 1+ years of experience and required NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification.

Details

• Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT scans in a teaching hospital setting
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• 5x8 hour day shifts with varying start times between 6:30am-10am and end times between 3pm-7pm
• No holiday shifts required
• No on-call requirement
• Occasional Saturday coverage needed for PET/CT scans if camera is down or backlog occurs
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Uses Siemens PET/CT equipment
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
• BLS certification required
• NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required
• NMTCB(CT), ARRT(R), or ARRT(CT) certification required
• State license required in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography if applicable
• Level I or II trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Radiation badge must be provided by candidate as facility does not supply one
• Driver's license and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs a range of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, thyroid studies, renal scans, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, and various PET/CT imaging studies
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Scrub requirement is teal top with black pants
• Staff may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs June through November
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 1 shift per 2-week period
