Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Step Down for a Med Surg/Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based position on the Med Surg 7E unit
- May be placed on a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit based on facility need and traveler's skill set
- 13-week assignment with a 07:00-19:30 shift schedule
- Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday
- Uses Epic EMR
- Floating required within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience
- RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills competency required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on facility needs
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
- Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
