Description
American Traveler is seeking a RN Step Down for a 13-week assignment requiring 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Works in the Telemetry/Step Down unit of a hospital setting
- Placement may be on a PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry unit based on traveler's skill set
- 12-hour shifts from 07:00-19:30
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- Float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills validation required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a step down/telemetry unit based on facility need
- Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
- Travelers should discuss extension with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
- Only one submission permitted per candidate across all Ascension positions system wide
