Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift acute care travel assignment requiring neonatal and pediatric experience.
Details
- Works in the Respiratory Therapy department of an acute care regional health center
- 75-bed facility serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations, including cases ranging from micro-premature infants to hospice care
- Uses Vocsn ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active Iowa RT license required at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- 1-2+ years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy care across a diverse patient population including adults, geriatrics, and neonates
- Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team delivering individualized patient care
- Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions, with no exceptions
- Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult populations
- 10-panel drug screening including opiates required prior to start
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are eligible at the local rate; candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
