Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week acute care travel assignment requiring 1-2+ years of experience and neonatal/pediatric background.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in the Respiratory Therapy department
• 75-bed facility serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients ranging from micro-premature infants to hospice care
• Uses Vocsn ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• State license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services across a diverse patient population including adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients
• Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team delivering individualized patient care
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• Permanent address must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Background check requirements include Iowa SING criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
• All background checks across counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start, with no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult populations
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance
• Monday or Tuesday start dates will be accommodated
