Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week acute care travel assignment requiring 1-2+ years of experience and neonatal/pediatric background.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the Respiratory Therapy department
- 75-bed facility serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients ranging from micro-premature infants to hospice care
- Uses Vocsn ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekend work required every other weekend
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- State license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration
- AHA certifications required
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care services across a diverse patient population including adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients
- Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team delivering individualized patient care
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
- Permanent address must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Background check requirements include Iowa SING criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
- All background checks across counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start, with no instant or statewide searches accepted
- Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult populations
- 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
- Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance
- Monday or Tuesday start dates will be accommodated
