Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a SC or compact RN license and prior L&D experience.
Details
- Work in a hospital's Labor and Delivery unit
- 13-week assignment with a 07:00-19:30 shift schedule
- Scheduled for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus 4 twelve-hour call shifts within a 6-week period
- Floating required to similar units as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AHA only
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis to provide age-specific nursing interventions
- Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
- Apply standard work practices related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators
- Contribute to department performance by precepting and mentoring novice employees
- Support department growth through hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices
- Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal-setting and participation in educational offerings
