Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring trauma experience, a compact or OK RN license, and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU department of a hospital setting
• Care for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Trauma and travel experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services

Additional Information

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Compliance documentation (background checks, drug screens, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer
• Returning travelers may extend a contract one time up to a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
