Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology / Cardiology X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years experience and Level II trauma experience required in a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in the X-Ray Tech unit of an acute care teaching hospital
- Perform a wide range of radiographic exams including abdomen, upper and lower extremity, chest, spine, pelvis, and head studies
- Perform trauma imaging including trauma upper/lower extremity, trauma shoulder/humerus, and trauma cases
- Conduct fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, and upper GI series
- Perform mobile and surgical imaging including C-Arm procedures, O-ARM, portable abdomen, and portable chest
- Utilize GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment along with PACS system
- Epic charting system experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Saturday rotation required approximately every 5th-6th week
- Holiday and standby call may be required based on operational need
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience required
- Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT-R certification required
- BLS certification required through American Heart Association only
- State license required if applicable
- Level I trauma experience preferred
- Level II trauma experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation and/or administration preferred
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required

- Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center
- Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility, local candidates not accepted
