Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/Cardiology X-Ray Technologist requiring ARRT-R certification and 2+ years of experience in a Level II trauma setting.
Details
- Work in the X-Ray department of an acute care teaching hospital
- Adult and pediatric patient population across acute care, outpatient, and emergency settings
- Performs general radiography including chest, abdomen, extremities, spine, and trauma imaging
- Fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, upper GI series, and contrast enema
- Mobile and surgical imaging including portable chest/abdomen and C-arm procedures
- Uses GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment along with PACS
- Epic charting system required
- 3x12 hour day/evening shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM on a rotating schedule (Week 1: Thurs-Sat, Week 2: Sun-Tues)
- Holiday and standby call may be required based on operational need
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- ARRT-R and BLS certification required (BLS must be through American Heart Association)
- State license required if applicable
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic imaging across a wide range of anatomical regions and procedures including trauma cases
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE use
- Follow radiation safety standards and assist with preparation or administration of contrast media
- Located at a Magnet-designated facility ranked as the state's top hospital
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
