Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a pediatric hospital setting requiring both KS and MO (or compact) RN licensure and AHA PALS certification.
Details
- Medical Surgical Float Pool position within a pediatric hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Floating required between the main campus and a sister hospital located approximately 12 miles away in Overland Park, KS
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Smoke-free and nicotine-free campus
Requirements
- Active RN license required in both Missouri (or compact) and Kansas
- Candidates contracted for the main campus may begin with a pending Kansas license if documentation of application is provided
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; RQI certifications are not accepted
- AHA PALS certification required
- Must pass a medication/dosage competency test with 100% accuracy within the first week, with up to three attempts allowed
- Date of birth and social security number required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

- Provide direct patient care within a float pool capacity across medical surgical units
- Facility conducts nicotine testing as part of its nicotine-free campus policy
