Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department position requiring active IL RN licensure and Level 1 trauma experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
- 12-hour Evening/Night shifts required
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Float assignment to the Emergency Department at an affiliated Freeport, IL hospital location
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
- Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department experience required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
Additional Information
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing standards and policies
- Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care including patient and family education
- Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance across units in support of patients' longitudinal care plans
- Exercise critical thinking on patient safety and escalate concerns through appropriate chain of command
- Engage in professional nursing continuum, unit practice activities, and peer review processes
