Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring PALS certification and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a Magnet-designated children's hospital
- Care for critically ill pediatric patients on a 1:1 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Float required to a nearby Summa location in addition to the main campus
- All travelers will float to competent units as needed
- Uses Epic charting system, with prior experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active OH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no exceptions
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 year of PICU experience
- BSN required for consideration due to Magnet facility status
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, infection control/PPE, and wound assessment/care required
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
- First-time travelers are not being considered due to travel experience requirement
- No radius rule applies for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
- Facility will consider prior employees for return as travelers, provided they are not currently active employees
- Facility typically approves candidates with background check hits
- Facility maintains a strict do-not-call policy
