Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Same Day Surgery PACU position requiring a compact or CO RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.
Details
- Work in the Same Day Surgery / PACU unit of a hospital setting
- Schedule consists of 4x9-hour day shifts per week, weekdays only
- Cross-coverage in pre-op required
- On-call required during regularly scheduled shifts
- Floating to other departments may be required based on business need and within scope of competency
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required and must not expire before start date
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required as appropriate for the unit
- Minimum 1 year of experience in PACU specialty required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
- Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
- Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for this travel assignment
