Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for an Emergency Department setting requiring 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification.
Details
- Work in an Emergency Department setting performing a wide variety of ultrasound scans
- Patient population includes adult, pediatric, obstetric, and portable/bedside imaging needs across ED, ICU, and NICU
- Perform general ultrasound studies including abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen
- Perform OB/GYN studies including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scans, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and placenta previa
- Perform renal/pelvis studies including bladder, hernia, ovaries, renal/bladder, uterus, and vaginal ultrasounds
- Perform vascular studies including lower and upper extremity venous and DVT studies of arms and legs
- Perform small parts imaging including superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
- Uses PACS system along with Philips and Siemens ultrasound equipment
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Cerner charting experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- ARDMS certification and BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Experience performing head ultrasound studies in NICU preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound scans across multiple specialties including general, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
- Candidates should avoid CBD products or anything that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival onsite
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
