Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience and large teaching facility background.
Details
- Work on M5/McClure 5, a neurosurgical and surgical unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- Shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
- Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
Requirements
- Active RN license (VT or Compact) required
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start)
- Minimum of 2 years of unit experience required
- Large, teaching facility experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to neurosurgical and surgical patients on a telemetry unit
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area, so reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Candidates must be able to explain any employment gaps over 90 days
- Local candidates are accepted
- Rates are tiered based on direct-line mileage: local (50 miles or less), radius (51-100 miles), and travel (101+ miles)
