Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room Circulator with a ME or compact license and at least 2 years of OR experience for a hospital position requiring rotating call coverage.

Details

• 3ORs and 2 procedure rooms in the hospital's Operating Room department
• Circulator role supporting Endoscopy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, ENT, Urology, and Ophthalmology cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Stryker, Storz, and Steris equipment
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• Day shift schedule, 6:45am-4:15pm, Monday-Friday with no set schedule
• Occasionally required to work late on Fridays to complete cases
• Rotating on-call responsibility Friday 4:15pm through Monday 6:45am
• Rotating holiday call coverage required
• Float policy of up to 25 miles between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Scrub experience preferred but not required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Serve as Circulator RN supporting a variety of surgical specialties
• Hospital provides scrubs in blue
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are welcome to apply
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewal or extension of this assignment
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
