Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT CT/R certification and 18 months of experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in the CT Tech unit performing imaging across adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and pediatric outpatient settings
• Perform abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest imaging including studies with and without contrast
• Special procedures include brain perfusion, vascular CTA, carotid studies, trauma head imaging, and pulmonary/aortic vascular imaging
• Uses GE and Philips CT equipment along with PACS
• Cerner charting system used
• Night shift schedule, 2x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend schedule covering Saturday and Sunday shifts
• Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required for all travelers

Requirements

• ARRT CT and ARRT R certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Indiana or Compact license required if applicable, and must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 18 months of experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Skilled in starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety protocols
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing a wide range of CT imaging studies across multiple patient populations and clinical settings
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted
• Any current or former IU Health perm or PRN employee must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who have completed 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a designated break to reset eligibility, with out-of-state residents requiring a 3-month break and in-state residents requiring a 6-month break before their year mark
