Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1+ year of general IR experience for a day-shift position at a tertiary hospital.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary hospital
- Average daily caseload of 4 cases per technologist
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call required on a rotating basis with two other technologists
- Weekend coverage required every third weekend
- No floating between units or sister facilities required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
- General IR case experience required; Neuro IR experience preferred
- Current BLS, ARRT (R), and SCQRSA certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by the assigned agency
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
- Lead tech experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- OR scrubs provided by the facility
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
- During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
