Description
American Traveler is hiring a Dual Modality CT/Rad Tech with ARRT certification (advanced registry in CT) and at least 2 years of experience for a free-standing ED setting.
Details
- Free-standing emergency department with 12 beds, no trauma designation
- Facility offers 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services
- Averages 45 ED visits per day with about 30 total DX Rad and CT studies performed daily
- Patient population is limited to ED patients only
- Dual-modality role performing both CT and general X-rays, including portables
- May assist with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, lines/labs, sitting for psych patients, and chaperoning ultrasound exams when not performing radiology duties
- Uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
- Equipment includes GE Revolution Evo and Siemens GoTop CT scanners, Bayer/Medrad power injectors, Shimadzu RadSpeed X-ray, and Shimadzu MX8 portable X-ray units
- 12-hour day shifts (0700-1900), 36 hours per week
- No floating, on-call, call-back, or weekend rotation requirements
- Holiday coverage required for approximately 75% of holidays
Requirements
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT required
- BLS certification required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with familiarity with CT scanner equipment
- Minimum 12 months of core work experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- Teamwork expected with staff from other specialties and modalities
- Administrative onboarding includes Epic and eLearning modules, policy review over 1 day
- Departmental orientation ranges from 2 days to 1 week as needed
- Black scrub color required
- Free surface lot parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered if familiar with the CT scanner
- Traveler's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles outside the home unit
- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
