Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position on a cardiac unit requiring 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

• Hospital-based position on the 5M cardiac Med/Surg unit
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment
• Cerner EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI certification required (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training course)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a US hospital setting required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner experience required

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments, including initial and ongoing evaluations with appropriate documentation
• Deliver age-appropriate care based on knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
• Determine nursing needs and treatment plans for assigned patients
• Complete admission assessments within established policy timeframes
• Must reside 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible (no local candidates)
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
