Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position on a cardiac unit requiring 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active SC or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based position on the 5M cardiac Med/Surg unit
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 13-week assignment
- Cerner EMR used
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI certification required (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training course)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a US hospital setting required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- Cerner experience required
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments, including initial and ongoing evaluations with appropriate documentation
- Deliver age-appropriate care based on knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
- Determine nursing needs and treatment plans for assigned patients
- Complete admission assessments within established policy timeframes
- Must reside 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible (no local candidates)
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
