Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg experience and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Med Surg Ortho unit of a hospital setting
- 29-bed unit with capacity to overflow adult patients into pediatrics for a total of 39 beds
- Typical patient ratio of 5:1
- Care for post-op surgical patients and those on cardiac drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin
- Uses remote telemetry monitoring equipment
- EMR system is Meditech
- 13-week assignment with a 7A-7P shift schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Med/Surg RN experience required
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Join a high-energy team known for a hard-working and fun personality fit
- Unit team includes a charge nurse, 8 RNs, and an ACT (Assistant Clinical Team) for coverage from 10am-10pm on both day and night shifts
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Local candidates will not be considered under any circumstances
