Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma teaching hospital requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma teaching hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs between like units
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance for this specialty

Additional Information

• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• 733 total staffed beds
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted unless otherwise approved
• Only one major holiday RTO request permitted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to two times (maximum three contracts total) before a required six-month break
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
• Compliance modules must be completed prior to start, estimated 4-10 hours
