Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for an outpatient cancer clinic requiring at least 1 year of oncology experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Responsible for triaging patient phone calls and responding to MyChart messages
• Coordinate diagnostics, treatment plans, and genetic testing for oncology patients
• Work closely with Infusion and Radiation teams as well as Physicians and APPs to coordinate patient care

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be finalized during compliance)
• Current BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, including oral chemotherapy
• Experience with pain management, symptom management, and post-surgical care
• Experience caring for patients with various cancer types, including breast, lung, colorectal, leukemia, and lymphoma
• Skilled in patient/family education, advanced directives, and hospice care
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and education, including chemotherapy teaching sessions
• Track INR patients through lab monitoring and medication management
• Follow up on iron infusion patients
• Enter physician orders including labs and diagnostic testing
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced pay rate
• Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
• Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
