Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and RDCS-Adults certification for a Magnet, Level III Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital with 672 staffed beds
- Department scans 75-100 inpatient and outpatient echoes per day
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday
- Will work every weekend
- Possible occasional on-call requirement
- May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Uses Epic/Excellian for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience required as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
- BLS and RDCS-Adults certification required; RDCS-Pediatrics preferred
- License required if applicable
- Inpatient and ER work setting experience required; outpatient, teaching hospital, PICU, neonate, and NICU experience preferred
- Proficiency in Portable Studies and Syngo required; IV Starts, PACS, and Biopsies preferred
- Experience required in 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Agent Imaging, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, RVIT/RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
- Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment preferred
- Pending state license accepted
Additional Information
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Local candidates accepted for this radiology position
- RTO ideally no more than 5 days during the assignment
- Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
- May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
- Grey scrub color required
