Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Neuro Trauma Unit requiring telemetry step-down experience and NH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 23-bed Progressive Care Neuro Trauma Unit on the 4th floor of the Main building
• Staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides per shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, and subdural drains
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Works every other weekend with no on-call requirement
• Floating required to all inpatient units including ICU and ED

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Telemetry and step-down experience required
• Neuro and trauma experience preferred
• Experience with chest tubes and EEG procedures preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
• Professional attire required with no specific scrub color mandated
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
