Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Neuro Trauma Unit requiring telemetry step-down experience and NH or compact RN licensure.
Details
- 23-bed Progressive Care Neuro Trauma Unit on the 4th floor of the Main building
- Staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides per shift
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Uses bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, and subdural drains
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Works every other weekend with no on-call requirement
- Floating required to all inpatient units including ICU and ED
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
- Telemetry and step-down experience required
- Neuro and trauma experience preferred
- Experience with chest tubes and EEG procedures preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide progressive care nursing to a neuro trauma patient population
- Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
- Professional attire required with no specific scrub color mandated
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
